Roundup Biactive® 20L is now available to purchase from Bayer’s distribution network.
Roundup Biactive is a non-volatile, water soluble liquid product that has been specifically formulated for use in environmentally sensitive areas. This unique formulation contains an 'aquatic approved' surfactant, allowing for use in sensitive areas such as around streams, creeks, dams, channels and drains.
Roundup Biactive is a non-selective herbicide that controls a broad spectrum of annual, perennial and aquatic weeds. It is used for general weed control in the VM (vegetation management) market, around buildings; commercial and industrial areas; domestic and public service areas; and right-of-ways).
The active ingredient in Roundup Biactive is Glyphosate (360 g/L present as the isopropylamine salt). It is absorbed by plant foliage and green stems; is inactivated immediately in the soil and does not provide residual weed control. For residual control of annual weeds, Roundup may be tank mixed with certain residual herbicides. (Refer Product Label for Tank Mixtures/Compatibility).
James Royal, Market Manager for Turf & VM at Bayer said: “As part of an integrated weed management strategy, park and land managers use glyphosate-based formulations to keep weeds off roadsides and railways, control invasive weeds, restore habitat for animals and make recreational areas more functional. Weed management practices help control weeds which steal water, sunlight and nutrients from healthy plants.”
“Glyphosate is known to degrade rapidly and not leave soil residues. It is one of the most practical methods to control weeds because it is safe, cost-effective and easy to use”, he said.
