The Bayer Australia Market Development Agronomy Team catch up to discuss a wide range of late season topics, including early harvest results and key outtakes from the 2019 season and what you should keep in mind for 2020 plans.

We saw good results, gained valuable insights and received positive feedback about our trials looking at managing root and leaf diseases with a range of products including EverGol Energy, Aviator Xpro and Prosaro.

We see interesting results from a range of strategies combining seed, in-furrow and foliar fungicides, testing out the fungicide resistance management guidelines available at and look forward to sharing the final yield results with listeners in future episode of Bayer CropCast.

Bayer conducted many trials in 2019 looking at controlling a range of grass and broadleaf weeds, with new concepts in development for controlling broadleaf and grass weeds in cereal crops. Sakura continues to set the standard for reliable and robust grass weed control. Bayer now gives growers the opportunity to make One Choice, with Two options – offering a NEW convenient 480 SC liquid formulation “Sakura Flow” that offers the same infield performance as Sakura 850 WG.

 to talk about protecting your valuable cereal grain harvest in the silo with K-Obiol EC Combi - A synergised grain protectant for use on all cereal grains, including malting barley, sorghum , rice and maize. K-Obiol is available for use by accredited Growers and approved bulk grain handlers in all states except for Western Australia, where K-Obiol is available to approved bulk handlers only.

There are new summer season trials being established in cotton growing areas of Australia with field days planned in late 2019 and early 2020 to show the importance of two new active ingredients being introduced in addition to Roundup Ready Over The Top (OTT) in Cotton crops to assist with managing hard to control and herbicide resistant weeds.
